Canta Via is a dynamic world-music ensemble featuring vocalist Safia Valines, guitarist Bobby Koelble, and bassist/composer Jerry Bravo. Drawing from her Algerian roots and her ability to perform in nine languages, Safia brings a unique blend of cultural depth, classical training, and global artistry to the trio. Bobby, a distinguished Berklee-trained and award-winning guitarist, contributes genre-spanning expertise shaped by decades of performing with jazz legends, major orchestras, and national touring productions. Jerry, a Venezuelan-born bassist and arranger whose work appears on several Latin Grammy–recognized recordings, provides the ensemble with warm, expressive rhythmic foundations.
The result is Canta Via—a polished and engaging world-music experience that blends global influences with elevated musicianship. Benvenuti! Safia Valines is an Orlando-based, classically trained soprano celebrated for her exquisite voice and captivating stage presence. Often described as a female Andrea Bocelli, her live performance style channels the timeless glamour of Sophia Loren in her heyday—sassy red dress included.

Viva Italia is the perfect choice for events celebrating the romance and nostalgia of Italy. The program features beloved classics from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Jerry Vale, Rosemary Clooney, and Doris Day, alongside breathtaking opera and classical selections inspired by La Bohème, Luciano Pavarotti, and Sarah Brightman. Neapolitan favorites round out the show, transporting audiences straight into the world of The Godfather.

Tom and Safia first met in 2016 during a six-week run of The Gigi’s at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota. The trio performed everything from The Andrews Sisters to Adele and Taylor Swift, with Tom as their pianist — and the glue that held the show together. Safia quickly recruited him for future gigs, and they’ve been performing together ever since, including for Buzz Aldrin’s 89th birthday party.

Tom has performed for decades across the U.S. and internationally, as far as Dubai. His credits include musical director for a national touring act, solo pianist at Disney and Universal Studios, show host at SeaWorld, and musical director for the Legends shows in Atlantic City. He also produced Disney’s Let’s Get Rockin’! and regularly performs a Billy Joel tribute show.

After completing her classical training at the University of Central Florida in 2006, Safia has performed throughout the Southeast and at Tokyo DisneySea in Japan. Known for her versatility, she sings across genres and in nine languages, and has entertained audiences at Orlando’s theme parks since 2005.
Together, Tom and Safia bring powerhouse vocals, masterful musicianship, and a massive song list to every event. They love interacting with audiences and are available for all occasions.
